ABOUT JEAN
With her roots firmly planted in Texas, Jean Prescott was born in Amarillo, but for the past twenty years she hangs her hat just a little bit south of Abilene with her husband, singer/songwriter Gary Prescott. Jean says she’s a singer, songwriter, and once and only once a wild bronc rider.
Jean’s music has been referred to as “the spiritual essence of the west” For almost twenty five years she has entertained folks from the concert stage, around the campfire and in cowboy churches all across this country and in Canada. A multiple award winning singer, Jean is the 2006 recipient of the prestigious American Cowboy Culture Award and has received recognition from the Texas State Legislature for her preservation of our western heritage and western way of life through song.
Her latest CD, TRADITIONS, contains 12 original songs that will make you proud to hand down your western, ranching and family traditions to the next generation. Jean is a believer in God, family, and America, and the values of the western lifestyle. Whether she graces a concert stage or an evening campfire, Jean Prescott’s music goes straight to the heart and is always toe tappin’ good.
