OUR FOUNDER

Debbie was born in Wichita Falls, Wichita Co., Texas on February 5, 1966 to Georgia Grace Osborne Dacus presently of Ovalo, Texas and the late Weldon Doyle Dacus. She is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dacus and the sister to 5 brothers, Doyle, Dan, Don, Dennis and Dwayne Dacus.

Debbie is married to Randall Devin Stewart, son of Clova Jeannine Bennett Stewart of Roscoe, Texas and the late Gene Allan Stewart. Devin and Debbie have 4 sons. Randall (Devin’s first son), Keith, Kody and Kyle.

Debbie lived in the Jim Ned Valley until 1987 when her and Devin moved their young family to Abilene, Texas. Devin and Debbie then move in 1991 to the Austin, Texas area. In 1994, they settled in Dripping Springs, Texas until 2014 when they settled in Georgetown following the graduation of their youngest son.

Debbie has always had a desire to help families and people in general. She has been researching family genealogy since she first began her family in 1986. It is her vision to preserve the histories and culture of the Jim Ned Valley. To nurture a community atmosphere that will encourage active communication and participation between generations. To engage the future generations in educating themselves on the very foundation upon which their forefathers strived to secure a humble life for their families.

Debbie is a 1984 graduated of Jim Ned Consolidated Independent School District. She came to Taylor County in 1972 and to the Jim Ned Valley in 1976 when her parents moved from Caps, Taylor Co., Texas.
